If you have KU, it’s available there.I know what you’re thinking. There’s also some fun side characters that show up in other books-I just finished Three of Hearts this week-and I’m very curious how this world building will continue. In the bathhouse, there are magical tiles that siphon off the excess sexual magical energy that can be stored and used for spells and things. Consent is done really well and the scenes are very well written. The two have so much to overcome to make their relationship work and it’s quite the journey for them.

Gideon, secretive by nature and necessity, is used to keeping his feelings held close and now with his inner kraken who is screaming that Rose is his mate, Gideon is struggling to find balance. She also has a family business to keep afloat, friends to support, and now a very handsome and sexy man who seems to only want a business relationship. Rose’s confidence is shaken by the ending of her last relationship and it’s hard for her to focus on matching other couples when she can’t seem to match herself. Lillian Lark is amazing at creating magical characters that are interesting and relatable. If he begins their relationship having incredible sex and capturing that magical energy to benefit the bathhouse, surely Rose will develop feelings for him.

Trying his best to play it cool and not scare Rose off, Gideon thinks easing into a relationship with Rose via the bathhouse is a good and rational idea. What Rose doesn’t know, is that Gideon is a kraken, one of the few left, and has already discovered that she is his fated mate. When the gorgeous and mysterious Gideon approaches her about a entering into an agreement…with Rose.

Working as a matchmaker in her family’s magical bathhouse leaves Rose surrounded by happy couples, but when her own perfectly matched boyfriend leaves her, she’s left heartbroken and unsure of her own abilities.
